Is there any bars out there in the Milwaukee area that is more the 38 to 50 year old range. I know alot of us would like to find someone in that age range. Right now where I go is Yester Years on 94th & Greenfield - and thats about hardly ever.
Alot of us are up for trying new places as long as they are not real far away. I'm an East Sider/Downtowner so to avoid the college crowd, I stay away from Water/North Ave as much as possible. asked me to post this question on the Forum originally... shhessh I gotta get a life Ok I protest I don't know about anyone ( a correction Kelly if I may) we are NOT OLD... I was recently in downtown Milwaukee and wow was that a mistake. Haven't been there in awhile so I can't say anything about it now.
The 3rd Ward has some really cool places including Milwaukee Ale House and Centanni. but this is an open forum / post and many people are looking for suggestions, ideals, opinions on this subject. We are Experienced, seasoned, mature, Sexy yes, but OLD Hell NO. May not have the energy of the kiddies, but there is something to be said for lasting longer then 10 secs too . Way too young, cover charges and alot of ill-mannered kids. Cherry wood furniture, fireplace, restaurant has great food and the prices are bad either. Would be nice if a list was posted here cause I'm sure some of us more mature people wouldn't mind going to one and throw back one or two.
More off the beaten track is Cuvee and the Penthouse, both on Broadway. Are all the Milwaukee men over age 38 on their couches sleeping by on Friday and Saturday nights.... Hey, thanks so much for all the value judgments on all those who stomp the grounds Downtown, but hey, the OP simply asked for nightspots catering to the older crowd in Milwaukee. OP never indicated that your criteria were of importance and I was answering her question.- THey T.. Oh any Bars for seasoned veterans in the south east corner appreciated... However, the bar is not one that stays open as late as others. Well one place for a older crowd is Kikos on 92nd and Bluemound. Cover can be between and depending on the band.
One of the best ways to experience the 3rd Ward is on Gallery Night. Just over the bridge in the 5th Ward is a new and undiscovered place called Cafe Luna. I'm seriously considering hosting a Po F event there. The crowd can be anywhere from late twenties to 60 with the average in the 40-50 range.Moving off the beaten path, you might like Good Life, Cafe Trocadero or Roots Downtown you'd need to be willing to share space with the young and the restless. The dance floor is always crowded and everyone likes to have fun.One of my personal favs is on Milwaukee Street a place called Kenadee's. I would like to know where the non materialistic / plastic people go... There are some odd ducks there from time to time though! There are a bunch of places on MKE, but just remember, the freaks come out at night. I have tried places like Club Paragon, Varsity Club, Coach House, Amelia's, Champs, Steney's, City Lounge, Landmark, The Terminal, Kelly's II.... Big Paulies on 27th and Ohio they have food and it's a smaller kind of place.
