Updating system driver
You may want to update drivers for your Windows 7 to fix some hardware issues or get better PC performance. For whatever reason, you can update drivers easily. There are two ways you can update the drivers: manually & automatically. For instance, if you wish to update “Realtek High Definition Audio” driver, double-click Sound, video and game controller branch then you’ll see the “High Definition Audio Device” under this branch. Then right-click the device name and select Update Driver Software… That puts you in total control of the drivers that run your hardware. You can choose which ones to update, and which ones to keep as is.
Hardware drivers are the bits of software Windows uses to communicate with your PC’s hardware.Device manufacturers create these drivers, and you can obtain drivers straight from the manufacturer of your devices.Manufacturers also submit drivers to Microsoft for testing and signing, and you can get many drivers from Microsoft through Windows Update.Often, you won’t need to bother with updating drivers, but you may sometimes need to get the latest version—especially if something isn’t working right.
While they are tempting, we recommend that you don’t use driver-update utilities.
In general, we don’t recommend updating hardware drivers unless you have a reason to.
